Zoom-able opacity function (blue histogram on the screenshot above)
is one of the most important controls in volume rendering. It allows
to change the volume appearance on the screen.
During real-time interactions the operator can make visible different
anatomy details. The image above shows both bones and muscles, which
is defined by a complex opacity function
